Formed
in 1997, non-profit Ballet Tech Ohio Performing Arts Association uses
innovative dance to promote interaction between people of diverse
backgrounds. In addition to offering a dance classes, professional and
pre-professional Ballet Tech dancers hold performances that highlight a
wide variety of dance styles and music.

Built
in 1902 in the heart of Covington, Kentucky, The Carnegie Visual
& Performing Arts Center features four art galleries that host about
500 artists from the region. Its intimate theatre, designed in the
style of an 18th century European opera house, offers concerts and

For
decades, the Cincinnati Ballet has been captivating audiences with
beautiful, poetic performances. From the stage to the community, the
organization is an integral part of the city's culture. The Cincinnati
Ballet is currently building a new performance studio and theatre, set
for completion in March of 2005.

Making
its debut in 1974, the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra brings together
some of the area's most talented professional musicians for 12 to 15
performances each year. The 35 to 40 member CCO performs at Memorial
Hall in downtown Cincinnati, at the College Conservatory of Music's
Corbett Auditorium, and at Northern Kentucky University's Greaves
Concert Hall.

The
Cincinnati Opera Association is the second oldest opera company in the
United States, opening to its first performance, a sell-out, in 1920. A
number of its earlier stars have gone on to become world renowned.
Among them: Placido Domingo and Beverly Sills. The internationally
acclaimed Cincinnati Opera performs at the historic Music Hall, under
the direction of Artistic Director Evans Mirageas.

A
two-time Tony Award winner, the Cincinnati Playhouse In The Park is
nationally known for its high caliber of artistic theatrical
productions. Some of America's best actors, directors and designers
have taken to its stage. From classic to contemporary, musicals,
dramas, comedies and recent hits are all included among its roster of
plays.
The Playhouse offers productions year-round in its two
theatres: the Robert S. Marx Theatre and the intimate Thompson

Cincinnati Pops Orchestra is one of the world's most active classical
pop ensembles. Under acclaimed Maestro Kunzel's leadership since 1977,
the Pops performs locally in Music Hall and Riverbend, tours nationally
and internationally, and has recorded nearly nine million releases, 52
of which have appeared on the Billboard charts of best-selling
recordings.

Cincinnati's
renowned School for the Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA), a
Cincinnati Public School, is one of a small handful of similar schools
that melds intensive arts and academic programs. Its very high success
rate demonstrates the effectiveness of complimenting academics with
arts. A number of SCPA graduates have gone on to become nationally and
internationally recognized artists or musicians. Admission to this
college-preparatory school (grades 4 through 12) is by audition.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Festival is a resident ensemble theatre
bringing Shakespeare and the Classics to life for audiences of all ages.
The Cincinnati Shakespeare Festival is the only professional classical
theatre in the region. Actors and performances have won numerous local
awards and Cincinnati Entertainment Awards.

Founded
in 1895, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) is the fifth oldest
orchestra in the United States and represents the evolution of 200 years
of musical tradition in the Queen City. The CSO performs music for the
entire family. In addition to its busy concert schedule, it presents
family, community and education programs throughout the year. The CSO
is the official orchestra of the May Festival and the Cincinnati Opera,
and as the popular Cincinnati Pops Orchestra.

Started
in 1982, the Cincinnati Young People's Theatre (CYPT) is a project
for, of and about teenagers. Over 1500 talented youth have gained
theatrical and technical experience through its summer performances.
CYPT is the recipient of the 2001 Post-Corbett Award for Outstanding
Arts Organization, the 1986 Ohio Parks and Recreation Award for Best
Student Program and the 1987 National Recreation and Parks Arts and
Humanities Award. It performs and practices in the Covedale Center for
the Performing Arts.

Contemporary Dance Theatre (CDT) was created in 1972 to connect the
community with diverse and socially relevant dance and performance art.
Using a variety of artistic styles and techniques, CDT mixes the new
with the familiar, the challenging with the accessible. Creative and
entertaining, its work also has a serious side that has a social
message. CDT offers classes, performances, and community outreach.

Once
a favorite neighborhood cinema, Covedale has been renovated and
transformed into beautiful theatre that can seat 400. A sister theatre
of The Showboat Majestic, the newly revived building now offers a
variety of performances throughout the year: productions by CYPT in the
summer and productions by professional local performers from October
to April.

Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati (ETC) is a professional equity theatre
that offers regional, world and Off-Broadway premiere productions. ETC
concentrates on the talents of local playwrights, directors, designers

Kentucky Symphony Orchestra performs 36 concerts throughout the year.
During the summer months they perform free concerts at Covington's
beautiful Devou Park, and during the winter, they offer performances at
Greaves Concert Hall on Northern Kentucky University campus.

wonderful national historic landmark (and the last survivor of the
singularly American tradition of floating theatres) is a focal point of
the Cincinnati riverfront. The Majestic is a professional stock theatre
using local talent. It offers a unique combination of river ambiance,
history, and artistic performances.

Hailed
by the Munchner Merkur as "the world's youngest chamber orchestra,"
the Starling Chamber Orchestra (SCO) is part of the Starling Preparatory
String Project, the internationally renowned training center at the
Unversity of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Students are
selected from throughout the United States and abroad to participate.
The SCO has a busy national and international touring and recording
schedule.
